Siri and Shortcuts
Settings › Shortcuts & Automation in the app is a short tour of everything on this page, with a button that opens the Shortcuts app.
Two things work reliably by voice. End each with the app’s name:
- “Show me the Driveway in Fregata Mobile” opens that camera’s live view.
- “What’s the latest alert from the Front Porch in Fregata Mobile” answers with the camera’s newest alert, its picture and when it was. Open on the answer opens it in the app.
Use your own camera’s name. Siri can mishear the app’s name when spoken, so if it doesn’t understand, type to Siri instead. Everything else is a Shortcuts action: build a shortcut with it and give the shortcut a name you can say.
Shortcuts actions
Section titled “Shortcuts actions”Search for Fregata in the Shortcuts app’s action list.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Get Latest Alert | The most recent alert or detection from a camera. |
| Get Cameras With Activity | Every camera that has had an alert or detection since a time you give. |
| Get Camera Snapshot | The current picture from a camera, to save or send. |
| Get Review Clip | The video of a review. |
| Get Server Status | Whether your server can be reached, its version and how long it’s been running. |
| Open Camera Live View | Opens the app straight to a camera, live. |
| Open Alert | Opens an alert or detection in the app. |
| Mark Review As Seen | Clears a review’s unread dot. |
| Set Notification Filter | Makes a notification filter the one in force, or none. |
| Snooze Camera Alerts | Snoozes one camera on this iPhone, for a time you choose. |
| Snooze Cameras | Snoozes the cameras you choose, on any of your servers. |
| Snooze All Alerts | Snoozes every alert on this iPhone. |
The snooze and filter actions change this iPhone only, never the server, and work in the background without opening the app.
Automations
Section titled “Automations”Switch filters when you come and go
Section titled “Switch filters when you come and go”In the Shortcuts app, open Automation, tap +, and choose a trigger, then add Set Notification Filter:
- Leave your home, then Set Notification Filter to Away.
- Arrive home, then Set Notification Filter to Home.
- A Focus turning on or off. See Focus and Time Sensitive alerts.
- A time of day, for a filter you want at the same hours every day. Quiet hours inside a filter may be simpler: see Quiet hours.
When an alert arrives
Section titled “When an alert arrives”On iOS 27, a shortcut can run when an alert arrives:
- In the Shortcuts app, open Automation and tap +.
- Choose Notification, then choose Fregata Mobile.
- To run it only for some alerts, add a camera, object or zone name, such as Front Porch or Person: it’s matched against the alert’s words.
- Add what should happen, such as turning on the porch lights, and save.
The match is against what the alert says, so it depends on your wording: the default wording names the camera, what was seen and the zone.
Control Center and the Action button
Section titled “Control Center and the Action button”The Notification Filter and Snooze Alerts controls do the same as the actions, with no shortcut to build. See Widgets and Control Center.
Spotlight
Section titled “Spotlight”Alerts and events are added to Spotlight as the app loads them, so you can search your iPhone for delivery or a camera’s name and open the alert straight from the results. Only what the app has already loaded is there.
