Snooze and mute
A snooze holds alerts back on this iPhone for a while, then ends by itself. It’s for not now: the builders are in, you’re in a meeting, the dog is out in the garden. For never, use a notification filter instead. This iPhone only
- A snooze lasts up to 24 hours, and ends by itself.
- A new snooze for the same thing replaces the old one rather than adding to it.
- It sits on top of the filter in force: while it lasts, nothing it covers gets through.
- Alerts held back by a snooze are listed under Held back, so you can see what you missed.
- Nothing changes on the server, or for anyone else.
