# Join the TestFlight beta

> Every new build of Fregata Mobile goes to TestFlight before the App Store. How to join the public beta on iPhone and iPad, keep it up to date, send feedback, and go back to the App Store version.

Every new build of Fregata Mobile goes to TestFlight first, Apple's app for trying apps before
they're released, and reaches the App Store after that. Join the public beta to get new features
and fixes before everyone else, and to help find problems before they reach the App Store.

A beta build is still being tested, so it may have problems the App Store version doesn't. If you'd
rather have only finished versions, stay with the [App Store version](https://mobile.fregata.app/docs/getting-started/install/).

## Join the beta

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the invitation: [testflight.apple.com/join/VP8qbJNw](https://testflight.apple.com/join/VP8qbJNw).
2. If you don't have TestFlight yet, the page offers it from the App Store. Install it, then open the invitation again.
3. Tap **Accept**, then **Install**.
4. Open Fregata Mobile. If it's new on this device, the welcome walkthrough starts by itself: see [Connect your server](https://mobile.fregata.app/docs/getting-started/connect/).

If you already have Fregata Mobile from the App Store, the beta takes its place on your device.

The Apple Watch app's beta comes with the iPhone's. If it doesn't appear on your watch, open
TestFlight on your iPhone, tap **Fregata Mobile**, and install the watch app from its page.

## Stay up to date

TestFlight installs new builds as they come out when its automatic updates are on, and tells you
when one is ready. Each build works for up to 90 days after we upload it, and stops opening after
that, so keep automatic updates on.

## Send feedback

Tell us what works and what doesn't. That's what the beta is for.

- **From the app**: take a screenshot, tap its thumbnail, and choose **Share Beta Feedback**.
- **From TestFlight**: tap **Fregata Mobile**, then **Send Beta Feedback**.
- **After a crash**: TestFlight asks whether to send us the crash details. Tap **Share**.

## Go back to the App Store version

1. In TestFlight, tap **Fregata Mobile**, then **Stop Testing**.
2. Download [Fregata Mobile for Frigate NVR](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fregata-mobile-for-frigate-nvr/id6807582466) from the App Store. It takes the beta's place.
