# Widgets and Control Center

> Fregata Mobile's six widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen — Latest Alert, Alerts to Review, Cameras, Camera, Activity and Notifications — and its Control Center and Action button controls for filters and snoozes.

Fregata Mobile's widgets keep your cameras a glance away, on the Home Screen, the Lock Screen and
in Today View, and its controls put filters and snoozes in Control Center, on the Lock Screen and
on the Action button.

## Add a widget

1. Touch and hold an empty part of the Home Screen until the apps jiggle, then tap **Edit** › **Add Widget**.
2. Search for **Fregata** and choose a widget. Swipe to see its sizes.
3. Tap **Add Widget**.
4. To choose its cameras, touch and hold it and tap **Edit Widget**.

For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap **Customize** › **Lock Screen**, and tap
the widget area under the time.

## The widgets

_Picture: Two small widgets: Notifications, showing the Away filter with Alerts on and a Snooze 1 hr button; and Alerts to Review, showing 4 alerts to review in the last 24 hours, with the three newest pictures._

| Widget | Shows | Sizes | Edit Widget |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Latest Alert** | The newest alert's picture, the camera and what it saw. Larger sizes add the alerts before it. | Small, medium, large; Lock Screen | Which cameras |
| **Alerts to Review** | How many of the last day's alerts you haven't opened yet, and the newest of them. | Small, medium, large; Lock Screen | — |
| **Cameras** | A recent picture from each camera, and what it last saw. Tap one to watch it live. | Small, medium, large | Which cameras |
| **Camera** | One camera's recent picture, large, and its latest alerts. Tap it to watch live. | Medium, large | Which camera |
| **Activity** | Today's alerts at a glance: how many, when, and on which cameras. | Small, medium; Lock Screen | — |
| **Notifications** | The [filter](https://mobile.fregata.app/docs/alerts/filters/) in force and any snoozes, with buttons to switch filters or snooze every alert. | Small, medium; Lock Screen | How long to snooze for |

Tapping a widget opens the app where it makes sense: an alert's recording, a camera's live view,
or Review. **Alerts to Review** counts the same thing as Review's dots: an alert stops counting
once you open it, here, in Frigate's web interface, or on another device signed in to the same
account.

_Picture: The medium Notifications widget: the filters Home, Away (in force) and Sleep on the left, and on the right Snooze, currently Off, with a Snooze 1 hr button._

The **Notifications** widget's buttons work without opening the app: tap a filter to make it the
one in force, or **Snooze** to quiet every alert for the time set in **Edit Widget**. While a
snooze is on, it shows until when, with **End Snooze**. (This iPhone only)

Widgets refresh on iOS's schedule, not instantly, so a widget can be a few minutes behind. The
pictures come from your server, so away from home they need your
[Away address](https://mobile.fregata.app/docs/getting-started/remote-access/).

## Controls

_Picture: Two Control Center controls: Away, On, with the filter's icon lit; and Snooze All Alerts, 1 hour._

Add them in Control Center (swipe down from the top right, then **+** › **Add a Control**), on
the Lock Screen in place of the torch or camera, or on the Action button in **Settings › Action
Button**. Search for **Fregata**.

| Control | What it does | Set up with |
|---|---|---|
| **Notification Filter** | Turns a filter on, and off again to another filter or none. Its name and icon show which is in force. | **Filter**, and **When Off** |
| **Snooze Alerts** | Snoozes every alert, or the cameras you choose, for a set time. Turn it off to end the snooze early. | **Cameras**, and **For** |
| **Snooze For…** | Opens the app to choose how long to snooze every alert, or until when. | — |

Each filter's **Icon**, chosen in **Settings › Notification Filters**, is what the control shows,
so you can tell at a glance which filter is in force.

## Apple Watch

The watch has its own complication, **Alerts**: how many alerts are waiting to be reviewed, and
when the last one was. See [Apple Watch](https://mobile.fregata.app/docs/beyond-the-app/apple-watch/#complications).
